We were lucky enough to be referred to Susanna during our search for a doula, and immediately knew she would be a perfect fit for our adventure within minutes of our meeting. Her kindness, her passion for her work and vast knowledge was evident and comforting. As new parents we were excited but admittedly a bit overwhelmed by what was to come on due day, and she answered all of our questions and put us completely at ease.

We met twice before delivery day and she was able to study our birth plan and made sure we felt completely confident and supported. Most importantly, she was so comfortable to be around which is exactly what we needed.The day of delivery was magical. Her encouraging words, positive energy, gentle coaching and subtle humor supported me, my husband and my mother as we rode the wave of labor for almost 24 hours. Throughout it all, she was an advocate for our birth plan, gave us privacy when we didn’t even know we needed it but did, joked when we needed comic relief, and maintained focus. She quietly took beautiful pictures that are now precious moments captured from the day. When my husband and I reflect on our daughters birth day, we say the same thing – what would we have done without Susanna?!

We can’t say THANK YOU enough and we are so grateful for your help in bringing our beautiful daughter into the world. We would refer Susanna to anyone who is expecting, and hope to have her help again someday for baby number two!
